1965 Jim Clark #82 Lotus 38 Indy 500 1:18 scale diecast by Carousel 1

Absolutely unbelievable detail on this 1965 Indianapolis 500 winning Lotus 38 that was piloted by the legendary Jim Clark. Made by Carousel 1, it is 10" long and is one of the best quality diecasts EVER MADE! You won't be disappointed.

Jim Clark returned to the Brickyard in '65 to place his Lotus 38 on the front row with Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt. Clark had been beaten to the pole by Foyt in an updated Lotus 34. This defeat began a duel that would leave the rest of the field behind. Lap after lap, the two determined drivers vied for position. Foyt's challenge ended at Lap 116 and there was no one putting the heat on Clark. Clark drove #82 to a walk-away victory at a record speed of 150.686 mph. It was the first Indianapolis victory for a rear-engine car, the first for a British car, and the first for a foreign driver in almost 50 years!

The Lotus 38 that Jim Clark drove to victory in the 1965 Indianapolis 500 is one of the most famous racing cars in history. We invite you to examine and see that this Carousel 1 model is almost as realistic as the real Lotus racer. Carousel 1 matched the modelís green and yellow paint to the restored #83 (housed in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum), and the red cockpit leather is matched to a bit of the original upholstery.

Authorized by Classic Team Lotus and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum.

With this model you'll see Carousel 1's dedication to authenticity and detail. The model is BIG, 1:18 SCALE and has: Removable Engine Covers - Full Engine & Cockpit Detail - Clear-faced gauges - Die-cast engine - Full chassis detail - Imprinted markings - Positionable front wheel - Serialized Limited Edition
